About the Unit
This unit of study is designed to be used as a class. The activities within the unit are a mixture of collaborative and independent learning tasks. The variety and nature of the tasks allows for differentiation of instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners. It also offers opportunities for both formal and informal assessment of learning.
This unit is not meant to be used as an independent reading assignment as many of the activities and assignments will require explicit instruction from the teacher.
