Final Project: Bullying Awareness Newsletter
Our class is going to produce a newsletter to inform the rest of the students at our school about the damaging effects of bullying and what everyone can be doing to prevent and respond to bullying. Each student must produce one of the following components (some tasks may require more than one student):
· A list of important facts about bullying
· A personal narrative - from the perspective of a student who has been the victim of a bully (can be published anonymously)
· Interviews (one with a parent, teacher or school employee who admits to having been a bully, one with a parent, teacher, or school employee who was bullied as a child, and one with our school psychologist on the effects of bullying)
· A list of suggestions for what students can do when they witness bullying
· A list of suggestions for what adults can do when they witness bullying
· Reviews of fiction or nonfiction books on the subject of bullying
· A list of additional resources for help and/or information on bullying
