The Cuban Revolution
Our text 90 Miles to Havana takes place during the Cuban Revolution. Although this time and event is depicted through the eyes of young Julian, it is important that we are aware of some of the major events leading up to Julian's journey to Miami, and how these events may have influenced his parents decision to send him there.
